AEP Energy Partners (AEPEP), a subsidiary of American Electric Power Co. (AEP), has published a call for proposals (RFP) for the acceptance of new solar systems, new / newly operated wind turbines, and stand-alone or side-by-side battery storage systems ( BESS) in the PJM area.

For the PJM projects, the company is aiming for purchase agreements for renewable energies with a term of 10, 12 or 15 years for solar, wind power plants (including incremental energy from repowering) and BESS, which will go into operation between 2021 and 2024. AEP operates and maintains the nation's largest power transmission system and more than 223,000 miles of distribution lines to provide power to customers in 11 states. AEP is also one of the largest electricity producers in the country with around 30,000 MW of different generating capacity, including more than 5,300 MW of renewable energy.

The announcement of the intention to offer must be received by AEPEP by March 10th. Packages are due by March 26th, 5:00 p.m. (CET) at the latest.
