Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Inc., a renewable energy infrastructure construction company with civil law expertise, has received three renewable energy construction projects valued at approximately $ 300 million.
Two of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, including a wind farm and a solar farm, are in Texas. Work on the solar park began in the first quarter and is expected to be completed in December 2021.
“The IEA is pleased to provide the necessary support for the expansion of renewable energy sources in our country,” said JP Roehm, President and CEO of the IEA. “Texas and Illinois rank first and sixth, respectively, in the United States for total wind, solar, and energy storage capacity. Both countries are reducing our country's carbon footprint and we look forward to being able to continue building on this dynamic with these recent wind and solar prices. “
IEA independently carries out all engineering, construction, foundation, tracker, collector, inverter installations, module installations and commissioning at the solar project site. Work on the wind farm began in the first quarter and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022. The IEA also carries out all project work itself, including the construction of project roads, the erection of wind turbines and the installation of the medium-voltage collector systems.
