BayWa re Solar Systems LLC, a US distributor of solar and energy storage components and systems, is the platinum distributor for the REC Alphaas LLC solar modules product line of the REC Alpha series. The partnership also includes REC's Certified Solar Professional Dealer Program, which is available to qualified installers.
The REC Alpha series modules include 380 W, 60 cell and 450 W, 72 cell versions. According to REC Americas, due to their high power density, the modules produce 20% more energy than conventional modules, which reduces the cost of solar power generation for homeowners and businesses. REC Alpha modules installed by REC Certified Solar Professionals are backed by the Pro Trust 25 year warranty that covers product and labor and guarantee a performance of at least 92% of the rating on the nameplate in 25 years.
“REC has always worked with a very limited number of dealers, so this alliance opens up our products to new customers through the strong sales channels that BayWa re is known for,” said Cary Hayes, President of REC Americas LLC. “This agreement further strengthens the global partnership between our two companies and gives solar companies in the US better access to REC products as well as BayWa re's excellent customer service and logistics.”
REC Americas is the North American division of the REC Group, an international solar energy company headquartered in Norway that has sales partnerships with several BayWa re sister companies around the world.
