According to Daqo New Energy Corp., a manufacturer of high purity polysilicon for the global solar photovoltaic (PV) industry, its subsidiary Xinjiang Daqo New Energy has signed long-term supply contracts for high purity polysilicon with a subsidiary of JA Solar, a manufacturer of PV products.
“We are very pleased to further strengthen our cooperation with JA Solar, a company for high-quality and highly efficient solar PV products and solutions,” said Longgen Zhang, CEO of Daqo New Energy. “With our Phase 4B project, which is expected to go online in the first quarter of 2022, we will enter a further phase of growth and be able to offer more high-purity polysilicon to the market. We look forward to continuing to work with our customers to bring more products and solutions to the rapidly growing global solar PV market. “
As part of the supply agreement, Daqo New Energy JA Solar will supply high-purity mono-polysilicon between July 2021 and December 2025 in a total quantity of approximately 78,200 tons. The actual volume and prices are negotiated monthly by both parties according to market conditions. As part of the supply agreement, JA Solar will make an advance payment to Daqo New Energy.
