RIC Energy, a renewable energy project developer, and Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC (GSRP) have teamed up to develop a portfolio of solar projects in New York. As part of this partnership, GSRP will acquire 47 MW of municipal solar power from RIC in New York State.
“We are extremely excited to be working with the very skilled team at GSRP to drive the renewable energy transition, meet the renewable energy goals in New York, while creating quality jobs for backcountry communities,” said Jonathan Rappe , CEO of RIC Energy USA. “We hope that we can continue to use our know-how in project development with the additional support of GSRP.”
The nine facilities involved, located in the service areas of National Grid and NYSEG, will generate billing credits that will be sold directly to utility customers, enabling nearly 10,000 households to support local power generation.
