Electrical distributor installs commercial solar energy with Tigo optimizers at the central Brazilian headquarters
Tigo Energy, Inc., the leading Flex Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) provider to the solar industry, announced today that Stark Renováveis has used the Tigo TS4-AO to address shadow energy loss at its São José headquarters do Rio Preto decrease. Brazil. Their trust in Tigo’s solution led to the selection of products for their own use. The Tigo solution gives installers and commercial system owners the freedom to choose their preferred inverters and panels along with the right features for optimized, monitored and PV safe systems.
The Stark Renováveis team opted for a rooftop PV system with 405 Wp modules organized in several strings and using grid-connected GoodWeTM inverters. The optimal placement of the modules was on a roof bordering a large building wall, which would normally result in shade and deterioration in performance. To reduce the problem of energy loss through shade, Tigo TS4-AO optimizers were used to ensure the best possible system performance.
“As the leading electricity supplier in Brazil since 2010, we were delighted to expand our offering to the growing solar market,” said Rafael Priuli, owner and operations manager of Stark. “The ability to install Tigo optimizers in our headquarters enabled us to simultaneously maximize solar energy for our own use and leverage the product to thoroughly understand the power of optimization and provide excellent service to our customers.”
Stark Electric is an industrial electrical materials importer and distributor who aims to provide high quality products at competitive prices with superior service to the entire Brazilian market. Stark entered the solar market in 2018, offering equipment from suppliers such as GoodWe, Jntech and Canadian Solar, as well as the Tigo TS4-AO optimizers. Stark installed solar roofs in its central Brazilian headquarters in January 2021 and put the system into operation at the end of February.
The story goes on
“We are pleased that Stark Electric is introducing our product portfolio to the Brazilian market,” said Jürgen Krehnke, Tigo’s Chief Commercial Officer. “South American countries, and Brazil in particular, offer tremendous solar potential, and this collaboration with Stark will be groundbreaking. There is no stronger vote of confidence than an installation on your own roof, and Stark Electric is on its way to realizing enormous opportunities.” for our two companies. “
Tigo Energy offers flexible solutions that increase the energy generation of PV systems through optimization, reduce operating costs through remote monitoring and increase safety through fast shutdown functions. Tigo is different because it gives its PV customers the ability to choose the right features and the right inverter for a tested and certified device and system level solution that maximizes the benefits for their installation.
