When completed, the facility will be the largest of its kind in South America. Commissioning is planned for the beginning of 2022.

“We are very pleased to be working with Nextracker on the Janaúba solar system,” says Patricio Pavez, General Manager for Renewable Energies at Andrade Gutierrez. “Nextracker's know-how in research and development in the field of wind design, engineering and proven bifacial gains ultimately led us to select the intelligent solar tracker NX Horizon.”

NX Horizon is the single axis solar tracker of choice for projects larger than 45 GW worldwide and will help Elera Renováveis to maximize the performance of the Janaúba system while minimizing operating costs. Nextracker's regional office in Brazil will provide comprehensive support for the project with technical advice as well as commissioning, asset management and advanced data analysis services for preventive maintenance. Installation teams benefit from Nextracker's PowerworX Academy Installer Installer to learn the best installation methods.
