Orbital Solar Services is working on another solar farm in Murfreesboro, NC

Orbital Energy Group Inc.'s subsidiary Orbital Solar Services (OSS) has received an engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC) to build a 132.2 MW DC / 100 MW AC solar park in the southeastern United States.

The contract provides for OSS to design, build and manufacture a utility-scale solar system that is expected to be delivered in early 2022. The company will provide full utility-scale EPC services including substation construction. The project consists of 350,000 solar panels installed on 800 hectares of land.

“This second project with an industry-leading energy company demonstrates OSS's growing reputation for technical expertise and ability to design and build these large, complex utility-scale solar projects,” said Brandon Martin, CEO of OSS. “We look forward to starting work on this project and continuing our relationship with this major energy producer.”

“We are excited about this project award, which demonstrates Orbital's ability to provide services that help reduce our country's carbon footprint,” said Jim O'Neil, vice chairman and CEO of Orbital Energy Group. “This and similar projects are designed to develop OSS ‘industry relationships based on a solid track record and expertise in providing end-to-end solutions. By expanding the relationship we have with this customer, we are positioning OEG and OSS to increase their presence in the renewable and alternative energy market in 2021 and beyond. “
