Storyteller Overland presents model new camper van primarily based on Ford Transit – Motor1

| |

Storyteller Overland is known for its Mercedes Sprinter-based motorhomes. Last year it launched a refreshed line of fashion RVs called the Beast, Stealth, and Classic, which essentially set options for buyers of off-road capable RVs in the United States.

However, the Alabama-based company toyed with the idea of using the Ford Transit platform, but the two-wheel drive put some restrictions on what Storyteller Overland wanted to use.

With the addition of AWD in Transit in 2019, storyteller Overland is pursuing his goal of building a Ford Transit-based RV, dubbed the Mode LT.

Visually, the Transit Mode LT Camper is smaller than the Sprinter motorhomes from Storyteller Overland. However, the new model still carries the visual characteristics of the Mercedes, supplemented by functional equipment such as a robust roof rack with Sonic Wedge wind deflector, tubular side ladder, running boards and storyteller transition rims with 245/65/16 tires.

Overlanding is definitely possible with the availability of 90W solar panels that can be expanded to 600W. There are four available 110V sockets on the outside as well as a robust shore power connection. The Ford Transit Mode LT also comes with a 21-gallon fresh water tank in the cab as well as a 24-gallon gray water tank with a heating circuit.

Inside, Storyteller Overland has not yet released any interior images, nor has a layout been revealed. We expect it to be almost identical to what's found in the Sprinter, and the company's website already lists some notable features.

Features include a Dreamweaver bed with a convertible work surface, swiveling front seats, a two-seater sofa bed Groovelounge, gasoline-powered heating, sheep's wool insulation, six 100 V sockets, six USB ports, three 12 V sockets and a garage area with a large loading area and L-track.

More importantly, Storyteller Overland Transit Mode LT is the most affordable model in the fashion range at $ 153,748. By comparison, the Sprinter-based Classic mode currently costs $ 157,747, with Stealth and Beast modes being even higher.

Storyteller Overland is expected to add model year 2022 updates to the entire Fashion Camper lineup, which will be revealed on September 24, 2021.
